Erwin Tsosie, Earring, Night Sky Inlay, Yei' Ceremony, Navajo Handmade, 3 3/8"
Navajo artist Erwin Tsosie makes amazing pieces of inlay art. His work was inspired by his brother, Ervin. You find him using the night ceremony theme often in his handmade creations. Traditional Navajo healing ceremonies are performed at night when the Yei'bi'chei dance and call the holy people of the next world to come and heal their patient. Navajo Reservation evenings are usually very clear, where you can see all of the magnificent stars and planets that fill the sky. Erwin fills that jet inlay night sky with a Yei' face and fans that are meant to represent good fortune. He uses a variety of stones that grab the attention of the eye. You are going to love this pair of dangle earrings.
