Anthony Skeets, Bracelet, Orange Spiny Oyster, Sonoran Gold, Navajo, 6 3/4"
Anthony Skeets, Bracelet, Orange Spiny Oyster, Sonoran Gold, Navajo, 6 3/4"
Navajo silversmith Anthony Skeets was taught the craft of silver and stone in the workshop of Kirk Smith. Anthony's work shows that default to tradition where he uses heavy silver and does much of the lapidary work on his own. The reason that his work has a different look is because he will cut the stones himself, giving him control over the pattern and size of rocks. This large bracelet is a classic combination of Sonoran Gold turquoise and Spiny Oyster shell. However, this isn't just any turquoise, it is the beautiful Sonoran Gold Turquoise. It really comes to life next to the deep orange Spiny Oyster Shell stones. Anthony finishes the silver with a rustic brushed antique look, perfect.
