Michael Perry, Bracelet, Number Eight Turquoise, Mediterranean Coral, Navajo, 6 1/8

Description

Navajo artist Michael Perry creates contemporary pieces of wearable art. However, that doesn't mean he is steered by tradition. This gorgeous cuff is a tribute to the old Navajo styles. You will find one side has a classic sandcast design that spreads out into the Four Directions accompanied by a fan. On the other side a classic Navajo style sunburst button design fills the cuff. One amazing piece of Number Eight Turquoise sits at the center of this cuff and is surrounded by deep red Mediterranean Coral inlay. Michael has been perfecting his craft over the last two decades. During that time, he has gone from simple designs to very intricate works that involve complicated silver and lapidary techniques. Michael has spent time in the studio of Jesse Monongye, and continues to make himself better. You will find his work and many of the finest Native American art galleries across the country, as well as seeing his work featured in many Native American art publications. Make sure to take the time to look through our Michael Perry collection on the online Trading Post.
