Kelsey Jimmie, Bolo Tie, Apache Crown Dancer, Tufa, Navajo Handmade, 42"

Description

Talented Navajo tufa cast artist Kelsey Jimmie made this fascinating Apache Crown Dancer bolo. The magnificent piece is created by carving into a tufa stone and then pouring silver into the design, creating a very unique style of art. You will be blown away by the detail of the dancer, from his crown down to the handmade bolo tips. Kelsey uses different polishes to bring out the detail and character. Finished with a heavy hand braided leather bolo cord. Every year the Apache Dancers perform at the Inter-Tribal Ceremonial here in Gallup and they are always a crowd favorite. This bolo is another great example of how the different Native American cultures of the Southwest influence the art of the Navajo.
