Freddie Maloney, Lisa Tucson, Bracelet, Butterfly, Navajo, Zuni Handmade, 6 7/8
Navajo silversmith Freddie Maloney reminds us of those great cuffs Harry Morgan made with Betty Natachu inlay. We use to have a drawer full of inlaid butterflies, Rainbow Men, Knifewings, and Thunderbird figures by legendary Zuni lapidary artist Betty Natachu. Navajo silversmith Harry Morgan would turn those into pieces of old style jewelry. Now, we have Freddie doing the same thing with Zuni inlay creations made by Lisa Tucson. This gorgeous butterfly is full of color created by the combination of shells, jet, coral, and turquoise stones. Freddie surrounds the figure with simple silver work and then places it on a traditional wire cuff he learned to make from Harry himself. The colorful inlay and silver work is very impressive, giving you something you always enjoy wearing and will forever admire.
