James Francis, Squash Blossom Necklace, Morenci Turquoise, Navajo Made, 34"
James Francis, Squash Blossom Necklace, Morenci Turquoise, Navajo Made, 34"
Hopefully the picture says it all. This is an incredible piece of handmade Navajo silver and turquoise. The squash blossom necklace is a symbol of Navajo silver and is the official necklace of New Mexico. Collectors are always impressed with these designs. A collection of fifteen Morenci Turquoise stones fill the necklace. Morenci is a classic American stone from Arizona and looks amazing against the patina of the silver. This is a Navajo made creation and has fourteen blossoms. Navajo silversmith James Francis creates the naja using classic sandcasting techniques and hangs everything from handmade Navajo pearls. The necklace has some age and was made in the 1990s.
