EllaMae Nez, Magic Carpet Four Ways Navajo Rug, Navajo Wool, 102"x76"
EllaMae Nez, Magic Carpet Four Ways Navajo Rug, Navajo Wool, 102"x76"
Navajo weaver Ella Mae Nez served her Country with a tour of duty in Iraq. Her time there introduced her to the intricate woven Persian rugs. She used the inspiration of those designs and tight weaves to create her own style back here in the US. This rug won the Best of Category at the Inter-Tribal Ceremonial in 2011. It has the classic diamond pattern of the Burntwater and uses those vegetal dye colors. It is an amazing weaving that will look spectacular hanging on your wall or used on a large open space of the floor.
