Zuni artist Harlan Coonsis makes fascinating pieces of art. He talks in his interview on our website about using a sugar package for the inspiration of his first inlay bird. Today he does lots of different birds, each magnificent. The style is mosaic inlay, and all of his work is lifelike accomplished by detail and lots of etching. The stunning Raven is a collection of black jet that soars across a turquoise Zuni Mountain background. Harlan inlays the stone into heavy silver finished with a mirror shine.
