Navajo Handmade Ring, Red Spiny Oyster Shell, Sterling Silver, Finger Size 8
Navajo Handmade Ring, Red Spiny Oyster Shell, Sterling Silver, Finger Size 8
Gallup, New Mexico has a very interesting history. It got its start and name because of the railroad. During the years it has had many faces. Native American art has always been associated with this community, but we have also been a home for the stars during filming of westerns. Also, we have been at the center of activism when in 1971 our mayor was taken hostage at the height of AIM. The jewelry you will find in this town is as diverse as the history. It is Native American made, but each is an expression by the individual artist. This gorgeous ring is Navajo handmade using a piece of deep red spiny oyster shell.
