Navajo artist Ervin Tsosie makes amazing pieces of inlay art. His work is always flawless and filled with fascinating Navajo inspired designs. You find him using the night ceremony theme often in his work. Traditional Navajo healing ceremonies are performed at night when the Yei'bi'chei dance and call the holy people of the next world to come and heal their patient. Navajo Reservation evenings are usually very clear, where you can see all of the magnificent stars and planets that fill the sky. Ervin fills that jet inlay night sky with Yei faces and fans that are meant to represent good fortune, two sides. He uses a variety of stones that grab the attention of the eye. This pendant hangs from a fifty strand lapis bead necklace.
