Orville Tsinnie, Ring, Water Web Kingman Turquoise, Navajo, Circa 1990s, 6 1/2
Legendary Navajo silversmith Orville Tsinnie was known around the world for his excellent silver work. He created pieces that are both traditional and contemporary in design, and well-known for both. His Armadillo style silver is a favorite. However, those heavy silver wire pieces earned him the reputation of continuing the tradition of the first smiths. This single stone ring is beautifully done. Orville used a fascinating oval cut of water webbed Kingman Turquoise and used a simple setting to display the Arizona rock. Silver drops and a four wire ring band finish the classic design.
