Edison Sandy Smith, Number Eight Turquoise, Revival, Navajo Handmade, 7"
Edison Sandy Smith, Number Eight Turquoise, Revival, Navajo Handmade, 7"
Navajo artist Edison Sandy Smith made this stunning old style cuff. Edison has mastered the very popular repousse style and his work is collected around the world. I think of his work like Teec Nos Pos weavings, they are Navajo made but seem to have an influence beyond the Four Sacred Mountains. His stamp patterns are like no others you find, one look at the ends of this cuff and you notice the uniqueness. Another attribute of this bracelet is the size, this is a big piece of silver displaying lots of amazing Edison Smith stamp work. Set in the center of this cuff is a piece of amazing Number Eight Turquoise, one that is filled with incredible deep blue that hosts a legendary spiderweb matrix. The finish of the cuff is a wonderful antique style that gives the bracelet a turn of the 19th Century look.
