Edison Sandy Smith, Ring, Old Style Design, Stamping, Navajo Handmade, 9 1/2
This long ring is a stunning piece of silver. Navajo artist Edison Sandy Smith made this spectacular old style ring. He uses a revival style repousse long oval bump out in the center and fills it with old time traditional stamp work. Edison styled a tapered ring band that is full of Southwest style. He uses a combination of stamp designs and antique brushed silver to create the revival look. Edison's silver takes lots of hammering and that is why the ring is made from thick sterling silver, and that creates a very solid feel that turns into an excellent fit. You often see elderly Navajo men and woman wearing long rings, it is a great look that will show your appreciation of authentic Navajo silver art.
