Herman Smith, Concho Belt, Mediterranean Coral, 12 Pieces, Navajo, 56 1/2"
Navajo silversmith Herman Smith made this old style Navajo concho belt. Herman specializes in traditional Navajo work, that usually translates to great Coral rocks and heavy stamped sterling silver. This piece is filled with Coral. You will find Herman set a gorgeous piece of Mediterranean Coral in the center of the eleven conchos and the buckle. Each stone is a perfectly matched Coral rock that showcases a deep red color along with a deep red radiance. Herman has used a combination of flat and repousse stamp work. You can wear this belt many different ways, dressed up or down. Herman is admired by many Native Art collectors who like to wear his jewelry. Make sure you add a concho belt to your collection, a style associated with the rich history of Navajo silver.
