As we get closer to late summer in Gallup, New Mexico we can anticipate a large number of hummingbirds migrating through town. Several houses put out feeders that are filled with these gorgeous creatures. You can spend hours trying to identify all the different colors of the beautiful birds. Navajo artist Monty Claw admires the hummingbird and has made several pieces of handmade art that showcase the magnificent flier. This humming bird is made of shell, jet and white stone, and floats above two turquoise flowers. Complimenting silver carving designs that leave the focus on the mosaic inlay center.
