Aaron John, Necklace, Sheep, Kingman Turquoise, Navajo Handmade, 26"
This is an amazing work of art that captures the beauty of the Four Corners. You can not drive across the Navajo Nation without seeing sheep. The government issued sheep to each family on the return from Bosque Redondo. Ever since that time sheep have been an incredibly important part of Navajo life. Navajo artist Aaron John celebrates that history with this incredible necklace. He builds twelve heavy silver rectangles and fills them each with their own fluffy sheep. Plus, he hangs all the pieces from some spectacular handmade Navajo pearls. At the bottom you are going to see one of the most impressive cuts of Kingman Turquoise you have ever laid your eyes on. Enjoy this unique piece of handmade Native American art.
