Kelsey Jimmie, Bracelet, Kingman Turquoise, Diamond Tufa Design, Navajo, 6 1/2"
Kelsey Jimmie, Bracelet, Kingman Turquoise, Diamond Tufa Design, Navajo, 6 1/2"
Navajo artist Darryl Dean Begay has won the Best of Show at the prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market. It is in Darryl's workshop where up and coming Navajo artist Kelsey Jimmie learned how to make jewelry. This education is reflected in Kelsey's work. He begins with three diamond shaped cuts of turquoise. The stones are Kingman Turquoise and show off an almost pure blue. Kelsey balances the stones with matching carved lines that brings everything together. It was made with a great feel and perfect polish. We have a few of Kelsey's pieces on the online Trading Post. Add him to your collection of Native American art.
