Zuni Handmade Bracelet, Natural Turquoise, Cluster, Circa 1950s, 6 1/8"
Zuni Handmade Bracelet, Natural Turquoise, Cluster, Circa 1950s, 6 1/8"
Only on a piece of Zuni art would you see so many stones in a small size. If this cuff was a Navajo creation with 55 stones it would most likely be a big production. This Zuni cluster is a wonderful example of the Pueblos mastery of stone. You have a cluster of Lone Mountain Turquoise stones, used because they hold that pure blue color. Three small wires hold the cluster and will give you a very comfortable fit. The bracelet is over a half-century old and will look great for another hundred years.
