Joelias Draper, Lariat Necklace, Ladybugs, Navajo Handmade, 25"
Joelias Draper, Lariat Necklace, Ladybugs, Navajo Handmade, 25"
Gallup, New Mexico has a very interesting history. It started and got its name from the paymaster of the railroad. You will find this trading community surrounded by the Navajo, Zuni and Hopi Reservations. This fun squash blossom necklace gives you a little bit of two different Native American groups. The gorgeous ladybug is Zuni carved by Georgette Lunasee and done with a combination of apple coral, jet and turquoise stones. Navajo silversmith Joelias Draper has taken 8 of these stunning ladybugs and turned them into a necklace. He finishes the silver with a combination of old style and mirror shine.
