Jonathan Beyuka, Bolo, Snake Dancer, Multi Stone Inlay, Zuni Handmade, 48"
Jonathan Beyuka, Bolo, Snake Dancer, Multi Stone Inlay, Zuni Handmade, 48"
Zuni artist Philbert Beyuka remains a mystery. This talented Zuni artist is the son of the legendary Eddie Beyuka, but unlike his father and brother Jonathan he makes very few pieces. Each piece he does is beautifully done and is filled with a combination of flat and raised etched stones that creates wonderful life-like character. The snake dancer is always a fascinating subject and the Hopi village has even closed the event to outside spectators. Inlay Zuni kachina figures are always spectacular creations and this would make an amazing addition to your collection.
