Pueblo artist Lawrence Yepa is another talented potter from Jemez. His style is a combination of smooth polished surfaces with unique carved designs. As technology and expansion grew pottery went through a very rough transition. It was once the essential pieces to carry water, store food and had a utilitarian function. However, that technology and expansion began to bring many travelers through the Southwest and pottery now has become collectible art.
