Ernest Roy Begay, Necklace, Blossoms, Huge, Morenci Turquoise, Navajo, 22"

Description

This is a turquoise cluster masterpiece made by award-winning silversmith Ernest Roy Begay. You just don't see necklaces this big and full of quality stone, so when you do you immediately know it is something special. Ernest has used perfectly matched pieces of collectible Arizona rocks, one hundred and thirty-six of them, to make this big silver and stone necklace. Each stone has a mesmerizing deep blue color with hints of iron pyrite matrix found in some of the rocks. Ernest surrounds the stones with stunning silver work that includes drops, twisted wire and handmade blossoms. Ernest uses a total of 12 blossoms that lead to the massive matching turquoise cluster naja. Plus, Ernest has handmade all of the beads and given everything an appropriate rustic brushed finish. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that will be worn for those very special occasions.
