Zuni fetish carvers Pete & Dinah Gasper found a beautiful piece of pure blue Kingman Turquoise rough to carve this fascinating healing hand. They have decorated the sky blue rock with carved finger nails and curved character. Navajo silversmith Joelias Draper gives the hand a gorgeous silver setting. He fills the wide piece with traditional Navajo silver work that includes drops and a heavy triangle wire border. Joelias finishes the wide silver band with a mirror polish that brings out the amazing color of the large rock. Collaboration pieces are not unusual, but pieces with huge carved settings are.
