Zuni lapidary artist Harlan Coonsis made this classic Zuni Achiya Ladaba pin/pendant. The piece has been decorated beautifully with a multi-stone Achiya Ladaba sitting against a mirror shined sterling silver background. You will find that Zuni religious beliefs and culture are kept guarded from the outside world, and it is not uncommon to talk to non-Zunis that have lived in the Pueblo for significant amounts of time that know very little of the beautiful culture surrounding them. You will find the mythical figure between a village and mountains. Harlan has set his award-winning lapidary style in a very nice and substantial silver setting.
