Roger Skeet Jr, Navajo Concho Belt, Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, Circa 1980s, 40"
Description
Navajo silversmith Roger Skeet Jr. didn't have much of a choice when it came to a career path. His father Roger Skeet Sr. was a silversmith for C.G. Wallace and made a wide variety of pieces, but nothing was as desired as his concho belts. Junior has continued that tradition of belt making and still makes them for the Trading Post today. This lovely belt is a 20 piece creation that is filled with a combination of flat and bump out stamp work. You will find a perfect sky blue Sleeping Beauty stone in each piece. A wonderful size that can be worn casually as well as dressed up. The belt is a circa 1980s creation.
